Dennis Wisniewski

I really began my life in art after a 30 year flying career.  I was a successful Flight Instructor.  I enjoyed the world of Corporate Aviation and then the last 14 years I flew for a South Florida company as Captain on a Boeing 727.  I found operating a large aircraft and managing a flight crew in the cargo world to be challenging and rewarding.  We carried packages and goods for recognizable names like DHL, Emery Worldwide, and the United States Postal Service.   In today's economy, fast product delivery is vital and the operation of the transportation systems that make that possible holds great responsibility.  I am proud to have been an effective part of that team.  Alas, health issues required that I reconsider my life's interest.

The end of 2000 found me studying art at the small community college in my home town.  After the very structured life and work environment of commerical aviation, it was exciting to have the freedom to create something that I could hold in my hands and that would last.  I'm enjoying becoming an artist.  My studies run the gamut of drawing and painting, welding, pottery and clay sculpture.  I think what has continued to give me the greatest satisfaction is my work in clay and metal.  I expect to continue my study and expand my work to include sculpture in bronze.

Most of my early pieces can be found in private collections around the country.   As always, you can keep track of my new creations right here.
