The Life Casting process begins with making the model feel comfortable, I can use a couple methods to cast a persons face,hands or body. The product I use the most is called Body Double. It is a silicone product made for the movie industry. it sets up in about 5 min. and produces a exact copy of the surface it was place over. I then cover this with plaster to form a Mother mold it takes about 15 min. for the plaster to setup.
After the Mold is made I can cast a wax positive and take it to a foundery for a bronze or using a clay to fill the mold I can then make a plaster mold that can be used for doing clay press molds.
